A Fresh Start / by Shelby Robinson

A new year means new decor, new goals, and a fresh mind {+ a new Canon EOS 70D !!!}. One thing that I've learned about life + time is that it just keeps getting better and better. Each year is better than the last. Isn't it wonderful?

As I've browsed the web over the past week or so, I've found that many people hate the idea of New Year's resolutions. They're either too mainstream, too rigid ("why can't you be a good person for the whole year?"), etc. But I disagree. The new year is a time to remember the previous year while preparing for another lovely portion of your life. You reflect. You celebrate. You acknowledge the good and the bad. You seek improvement and self-betterment. You set fresh objectives for your future. Because after all, it is your life, and you don't have to wait to feel good or to be happy. You can do it right now.

A peek into my 2014 hopes + dreams: create more, stress less, practice yoga more {all things that will make me a more happy and mindful gal}.
